Here's my reflection on my art: Nicky

Art: Reflecting on my Abstract Painting

1. Are you pleased with your abstract painting? why / why not?
I am really pleased with my painting and yet not pleased. The reason for that

is, the green colour is not the kind I would usually use.

2. What did you find easy when you created your abstract painting?
I found tracing around the plate onto my 6 by 6 cm grid really easy.

3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your abstract painting? -think about painting, ruling it up etc.
I found Painting the square in the centre of the circle a bit hard, other than that everything was a piece of cake.

4. Who / What helped you when you were painting?
Miss Paton helped me alot with painting my painting.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: colours, painting, ruling of grid, etc.
I would chose different colours.

6. What frustrated you when you created your abstract painting?
Trying to paint within the lines, and making the right colours for each shape.

That's me! I admire my picture.

Hi. Today ( 9.11.12 ) Pace and I had to present our presentation on Valentines day. My awesome teacher, Miss Paton sent her class including me a little page about if we have done all of these things such as: Referencing of information,  sources of information, Summarising of information, slide layout, knowledge of the topic, eye contact and loud clear voice.

I think that I need to work on slowing down my speech, a little more eye contact, and learning everything that I need to say.

My narrative: Nicky

         ...Who's up for a surprise?...
“Lesly, time to get ready for school!” “It’s a new start today” Said Mum alarmingly. “Argh” Lesly moaned. “I’m tired” “You have to” Mum called. “Fine, I’ll get ready soon”. “But I don’t have any hair ties, mum” “Just have your hair down”. “You look pretty when you do”. “Thanks, mum” “Do I need a school uniform?” “Come on, Lesly, it’s your first day, what can they expect?” Mum had called out to her daughter. As Lesly had finished getting ready for her big day ahead, her and her Mum walked to school.

“Wow” said Lesly in a surprise. “Wait, this isn’t the new school, this is Para Para high.” “What? You gotta’ be kidding me, this looks awesome.” said Lesly in a shock. “But it’s not the one we're looking for” “I am 16 anyway.” said Lesly, trying to make a point. “Okay, maybe we could check it out.” said Lesly’s Mum.

When they got to the school, everybody stared at them. ‘Mum, why is everyone staring at us?” “I don’t know” said Mum as if she didn’t know nothing. They both looked at each other to see if they were accidentally making a scene. “No wonder.” said Mum in a way that could not be explained. “What, what have I done?”  “Nothing, nothing at all” “It’s what you're not doing. “Well, what am I not doing?” “Actually it’s not what you’re not doing, it’s what you’re not wearing.” said Mum as if she knew everything. “My clothes?” “Yes, everyone expects everybody to wear a uniform!” “Who cares, I honestly don’t unless I really go to this school.” said Lesly in a sobby voice.

As Lesly and her Mum walked everywhere around the school, it was 12.07 o’ clock in the evening. “Ohh, dang it!” shouted Mum. “We forgot all about the other school you were supposed to check out” Cried out Mum. “We, you mean you” said Lesly in with an attitude. “How about tomorrow?” Asked Lesly “We can’t, the orienteering day is only today
and we've missed it” Said Mum in an upset voice. As the two ladies walked home as upset as a poor little mouse, they stopped. “Why can’t I go to the school that we’ve just visited, Mum?” “But they haven't given us any papers or anything like that.” “We could meet the principal” Said Lesly trying to make a point. “Uhh, I don’t know about this, we might give him or her the wrong idea.” Said Mum insurcurly. “At least we could give it a go.” Said Lesly in the chirpiest voice that she could make out of herself. Mum gave her a sigh. “Okay, life is all about risks, you never know what will happen.” Said Mum. “You have a point” said Lesly cheering up he mother.

After they finished strolling over back to the previous school Lesly asked mum. “What’s was it like to be a teenager?” “It was alright, I guess.” said Mum. “Okay,” Lesly replied. “That’s interesting, no one is staring at us anymore.”  said Lely in a Needy voice. After they finally found the principal’s office, The principal froze, he just stared at the two girls as if they were angels. “Wow” said the principal in a surprise. “Who are you two”? “We, are, angels appearing in your dream.” said Lesly trying to make a joke out herself. “Na, I’m just kidding, but” Mum quickly interrupted. “We were wondering if you could accept this child into joining your school.” said mum trying to be smart. “Well, if you want to be apart of our school, then you need to take a little test.” Said the principal. “What test”? Said Lesly’s Mum out of curiosity. “Ohh, nothing, ha ha. you failed!” “How?” “Well, you weren't supposed to say ‘What test’, everybody says that, obviously ya F.A.I.L.E.D!” Said the principal. “Well that is not fair.” Said Mum looking out for Lesly. “I agree, I’m not going to go to this school at all am I, Mum?” “Yeah, we're not. said Mum. “Lets go” said Lesly. “Tomorrow I’ll see if we could get a private orientation day just for us.” said Mum trying to cheer each other up. “Okay” Said Lesly with a sigh.

After they finally got back home where they belong, all Lesly could do was sob, sob S.O.B. “Cheer up Les, it’ll be okay.” said Mum. “Why don’t you go outside and ride on your skates?” “I don’t feel like it.” Said Lesly with a big, big sigh. “Ohh, how about you show me that cartwheel where you do it with one hand?” said Mum trying even harder to cheer her up. “Okay, Mumsy!” “Yus, I have finally helped her to feel normal again. Mum thought to herself quietly. “Wow!” said Mum sounding surprised. “You're really good at that!” Said Mum sounding even more surprised. ( Knock, knock  ) “I wonder who that could be” said Lesly. “I don’t know.” said Mum, confused as ever. “Hello?” Called a voice from the door. As Lesly’s Mum ran over to the door, she found Lesly’s friend from her old school. “Hey, I've seen you before.” Said Mum trying to sound as if she really knows her. “What’s your name again?” “Oh my gosh, you don’t remember me?!?” “I’m Lesly’s friend.” “Ohh, ya know you’re still not telling me your name, he he.” Said Mum having a little laugh. “Cinder!” Called Lesly. “Hi, Lesly.” “What are you doing here?” Asked Lesly. “Well, ah, I thought I might give you  farewell gift. “Ohh, how sweet, where is it, so?” “It’s invisible, and it’s a hug” said Cinder, sounding innocent.
“So, have you came here for anything else?” Asked Lesly’s Mum. “No” Cinder replied. “Well, I’ll be off with my-self won’t I now?” Cinder asking her self. “Yeah, bye” said Lesly. “What should I do now Mum?” Asked Lesly. “Umm, I don’t know. Just as they both left, five minutes later, another friend came down their street. “Knock, knock, knock, anyone there?” “I wonder who it is this time?” Asked Lesly disturbingly. “Maybe another one of your friends” Said Mum chirpily. “Maybe, maybe not.” Said Lesly moaning. “It’s me,” Lesly quickly interrupted. “Can you answer it for me?” Asked Lesly in a depressing voice. “Okay.” Replied Lesly’s Mum. “I’m going for a nap.” Said Lesly ignoring the knock on the door. “It’s me, Brenda” called a tiny voice. “Oh, it’s you.” Mum sounding disappointed. “Yeah, it’s me. Where’s uh, Lesly?” “Taking a nap.” Said Mum. “Could you give her this?” “What is it? Asked Lesly’s Mum. “500 dollars, I won it from a lotto.” Replied Brenda. “How Come you weren't on tv?” Asked Lesly’s Mum. ”Didn’t you  know that you could have a choice to be on tv or not?” Asked Brenda. “No, actually, I didn’t know.” Replied Mum.. “So, do you want me to give this to Lesly now, or should I surprise by throwing it on her bed?” “Chuck it on her bed!” Shouted Brenda. “Okay, bye.” Said Mum. “I wonder why nearly all of Lesly’s friends are suddenly showing up on our front porch.” Lesly’s Mum asked her-self. As she chucked the money on the bed she shouted out “Surprise!” “HUH? Asked Lesly. “Here is your check for 500 dollars!” “What?” “Heres your” Lesy interrupted Mum I know what you said but, What?” “That was a historical question, Mum?” “Ohh, sorry.” “No problem.”

“So, should we go shopping tomorrow?” “BUt Lesly, never mind.” moaned Mum. “Come on, I know that you were gonna’ say something.” Asked Lesly sounding suspicious. “Oh, I was just going to say that you have school tomorrow, but you don’t and you don’t really have a school either.” Said Mum. “True, you do have a point.” Replied Lesly.
“Are we going to shopping or what?” Lesly asked. “Yeah, why are we here?” “Okay.” “I need some more jeans, lets
find some?” “Okay” Replied Mum. As they strolled through the ‘Just Jeans’ shop, Lesly found a pair that looked perfect with all of her clothes. “Hey Mum, those look awesome, can I buy them?” “Sure, what’s the price?” Mum asked. “500 dollars?!?!?!?” “There’s no way you’re going to buy that, no matter how amazing it looks. “Fine” “What do we buy now?” “Well, we could look for more jeans” Said Mum. “Nah, How about a dress, it is summer anyway.” Said Lesly. “Okay.” Said Mum with sigh. “Hey you, what are you doing here?” Called a young teacher from Lesly’s old school. “Uh, who are you?” Asked Lesly “O.m.g you don’t remember??!?!?!?!?!”  “No, no I don’t know you.” Replied Lesly. “Obviously you don't’ know who I am., anyway, I’m one of the maths teachers. As in Miss Tudle.” “Oh, yeah, Still don’t know.” Said Lesly.  “Well, clearly you don’t know me because you’re too smart for a maths group so you didn’t have  to come to  me during the afternoon. Said Miss Tudle. “Okay.” Said Lesly as if she were talking to a wall. “Bye for now.” Said Lesly “Bye for ever” Lesly whispered.. “Sad” Cried Mum.

As Lesly and her Mum walked home they saw a long queue at their front porch. “What the, you know what I was going to say, Mum.” Said Lesly  in complete shock. “Lesly, how could you say such a thing?” Lesly’s Mum asked. But I was only thinking of the word but I didn’t say it.” Said Lesly. “You’re right.” Said Mum apologizing. Lesly and her mum searched and searched to  see if they could find out what was going on. Before they knew it, a big crowd shouted at Lesly, “Farewell Lesly.” What, what’s going on?” Asked Lesly. “Remember, you’re going to new school right?” A man called out from the crowd. “Well, actually, Mum you tell them. I don’t really know what’s happening.” Lesly started to cry. “We hate to break what you were thinking, but, She’ll be staying at her old school, which is where Principal Sedric. “Yay!” Shouted out the whole crowd.

The next week, Lesly was already walking around her school. “Wow, what are you doing here?” Asked Cinder and Brenda. “Oh, well it didn’t work out, turns out the principal was kinda evil for what he did to my MUm and Me. “What did he do?” Asked Brenda. “He asked me to do a test, and I asked him ‘what test?’ then he failed me just because I asked him that question” “You poor  .” Said Cinder. “‘All goods.” said Lesly.

Look at what I have completed so far this term: Nicky

Hi, as you can see, this is what Iv'e completed within the last five weeks. I havn't finished everything just yet, but I will soon. Some of these tasks havn't even been said by our teacher yet, next week she will probably mention some more. By the end of this term I would have completed everything that's on this long, long list.
